Creative Director at Flowers for Jane and florist since 1997.

My love for flowers began before I could even walk. As a newborn, I'd be nestled nearby while Mum and Grandma worked the garden beds—first from a pram, then a playpen, watching their hands move through soil and stems. When I was old enough, I joined them, and those garden days became our family ritual. My brother and I would end each afternoon covered head to toe in grass stains and dirt, completely content.

Some families bond over cooking. In mine, love was found in the garden—together, hands in the earth, surrounded by what grows.

Not much has changed, really. Today, I work from my studio on my parents' property, nestled among the gumtrees in Langwarrin. Dad, now in his 80s, handles all my printing. Mum is right there beside me, writing gift card messages, prepping flowers, and tidying up.

It's come full circle. The same hands that taught me to tend a garden now help me run my business. And every bouquet I create carries that same love—the kind that grows when you're together, doing what matters most.
