Frankston Southside Festival Floral Studio Open Day – Make a posy with purpose!

The Frankston South Side Festival offers a fantastic range of food and cultural events from our very own friendly and talented locals. Think Local! And this year we are included. Flowers for Jane is opening the studio to the public for one day

Drop in on Saturday May the 16th between 10am  - 3pm, to create beautiful posies while connecting with like-minded people who care about nurturing our community. Each posy you make will brighten someone's day and remind them they matter.

This is your chance to help combat loneliness, spread joy, and make a real difference through the simple act of creating something beautiful. All skill levels welcome—come for the flowers, stay for the connections.

For those of you who don't know, the Community Posy Project is a volunteer initiative that gives back in a few ways. Firstly by bringing together caring community members to create beautiful small posies of flowers and we gift them to people who may feel lonely and need a little joy in our community. The other is by going out into the community to create connection with a posy making session. Our mission is to combat disconnection and spread joy through the simple gift of fresh flowers.

Each month, I gift my time and resources to host two Community Posy Project sessions — one at the Flowers for Jane studio in Langwarrin, and one out in the community

In April and May I have had so many groups reaching out, that I had to work out a way I could balance community giving and work. So, a sponsorship program was introduced. You can now sponsor a Posy Project event where I can come out and hold the group. It's a great way to showcase your company or organisation's values in action.

Want to host a session for your group or organisation, but month is already booked, you can now sponsor a dedicated event for just $110 — I will come to you with everything needed. Simply provide the venue, and your volunteers (with their glass jars!) each contribute $11 on the day to cover flowers, foliage, and ribbon.
