In the spirit of kindness and community connection, the Community Posy Project, hosted by Flowers for Jane in Langwarrin, has been making a meaningful impact this season.
This week, we held two special sessions where volunteers gathered to create beautiful posies, which were then lovingly distributed to those who may need a little extra warmth and thoughtfulness during this time of year.
Our volunteers came together with a shared purpose: to remind individuals that they are not alone and that there are people in the community who care about them. The posies we crafted are not just flowers; they symbolise hope, support, and connection.
Where We Delivered
This week, we had the privilege of delivering our posies to several important locations in our community:
- Vasey RSL House in Frankston: Bringing a smile to residents faces.
- Ward 5G at Frankston Hospital: Patients in this ward received our posies as a heartfelt gesture, reminding them that they are in our thoughts during their hospital stay.
- The Babes Project in Frankston: This organisation supports young mothers and their families, and we are glad to share a bit of joy with them.
- Palliative Care Centre on Golf Links Rd, Frankston: Our final stop was this compassionate care centre, where our flowers served as a reminder of love and support in difficult times.
