I'm Cassy, the florist behind Flowers for Jane in Langwarrin. Every month I run the Community Posy Project in my Langwarrin studio, and once a month I also take it out to visit a community group that gives back to others. This month, I got to spend the evening with the 'Smiles Within' group at Hotel Lona in Frankston.

What is the Community Posy Project? The Community Posy Project is a monthly, not-for-profit flower session run from the Flowers for Jane your local florist in Langwarrin. It costs $15, and every person makes two posies. One to keep for yourself. And one we deliver out into the community. This month, those posies went to Frankston Nursing Home in Frankston South and Greenways Retirement Village in Seaford.

Every month, The Community Posy Project sends handmade posies out into the community to brighten someone's day. Last Friday 14 August, they went to Calvary Sandhurst Residential Aged Care on Herbert Road, Carrum Downs. The Community Posy Project by Flowers fro Jane will be on again next month on Tuesday the 15th of September  If you'd like to get involved, whether that's helping arrange, or simply knowing someone who could use a posy dropped their way, get in touch.
